2020 - 2022 BUOYANT
A buoyant body possesses the ability to submerge and float. Through the collection of images of bodies submerged in water from photographs taken with an underwater camera and stills from videos taken in swimming pools, sea, and river, this series of oil paintings emerge, showing the close relationship between the human being and water from a view of immersion, suspension, and enjoyment. These bodies remain afloat and are exhibited buoyant in a graphical environment of optical deformations and chromatic aberrations produced by the light and the movement of the water waves.

This series of drawings collects an exploration and experimentation between two languages: artistic drawing and some models of classical physics related to the behavior of light.

Boxing&perception
In this exploration, I examined how painting could relate to video. I elaborated a series of 4 oil paintings based on a video affected by editing software during a boxing practice to construct a self-portrait.
